Clients look elsewhere as consultancy bites the dust

A number of companies incĀluding the restaurant chain Gourmet Burger Kitchen are seeking new PR support after the agency they currently use announced it was closing down.

The Yes Consultancy, which specialises in the food, drink and adventure sectors, is to shut in March. The six-strong agency has been running for eight years.

Flagship client Gourmet Burger Kitchen is understood to be in the process of seeking a new agency.

Another client, the Worldwide Fruit-owned Jazz Apples, spoke to three agencies last week and will be making a decision shortly. Jazz Apples, from New Zealand, are a cross between the Gala and Braeburn apple.

On the adventure side, current client the British Schools Exploring Society said it was seeking a replacement PR agency. Research project ‘Caudwell Xtreme Everest' and Hannah McKeand, an explorer who is planning a South Pole expedition, are both also believed to be seeking PR support.

Yes founder and its only shareholder Tina Fotherby said: ‘After 25 years of agency life and eight spent running an agency I am keen to look for new opportunities where I can broaden my skills, most likely in an in-house enviroment.'
