Oliver Wilson is to join the body as director of communications at the end of March.

He has been the director of communications at The British Horse Society for the last three years.

He will be in charge of all media relations for the body, which aims to protect the interests of the rural economy in England and Wales.

Wilson will oversee the six-strong regional communications team, who are based across the country.

Wilson said he will be working closely with the lobbying team to ensure more joined up media campaigns. He wants to build the body's profile in the nationals.
