Converse hires Balance for EMEA

Classic trainer company Converse has hired Balance PR to handle its first integrated trade and consumer brief across EMEA, for a six-figure sum

An element of the campaign will be handling Converse's centenary in March, which is being promoted as '100 years of disrupting the status quo'.

Balance will be focusing on the famous 'All Star' brand's associations with sport, fashion and music, such as punk band The Ramones.

The agency will also promote Converse's recently refitted Carnaby Street shop. Balance was hired non-competitively after previous project work.

The four-strong account team is led by Balance MD Lucy Finnegan. Converse is owned by Nike.
