Dowling left Ogilvy last month (PRWeek, 1 February 2008 ), having joined in 2005 as regional director of planning for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. He moved back to the UK six months ago to take an EMEA creative director post.
Prior to that Dowling spent eight years at Cake, joining when the agency launched in 1997 and rising to planning director. In his new Cake role he oversees a planning team of three.
Dowling said his new role was ‘like coming home,' adding that his international experience was a boon to Cake, which was now operating globally for several of its clients.
