H&K brings in headhunters to find senior staff

Hill & Knowlton has called in headhunters as it attempts to replace joint MD of healthcare Shipra Singh.

Singh has left to go on a sabbatical to Antarctica and will not be rejoining H&K. She joined the agency in 2001 and formerly worked for Ketchum London and Stratis KPR in New York.

H&K is looking for a top healthcare communicator to assist joint MD Fiona Rollo in heading up the agency's healthcare and wellbeing department.

H&K CEO Sally Costerton confirmed the agency had engaged headhunters to replace Singh and to look for other senior communicators to expand the team.

'H&K had a very good year in healthcare last year in the UK and globally. I am looking to increase the senior bench and am looking for the best senior talent available,' said Costerton.

Singh and Rollo were appointed joint MDs of UK healthcare in 2006. Singh's departure followed the appointment of former Edelman UK CEO Stuart Smith in November (PRWeek, 3 October 2007) as chairman of corporate and healthcare UK.
