Haugen gets V-P role at Edelman

Burson-Marsteller's former European creative director has joined Edelman in a similar role.

Paul Haugen, who also held senior positions at Hill & Knowlton, has taken the role of Edelman Europe executive vice-president and creative director. He reports to global creative director Mitch Markson and European CEO David Brain.

'Paul will work with the European teams and clients to search for those often elusive powerful ideas,' said Markson. 'He will also work with me to develop new methodologies and enhance Edelman's "3D" approach to communications planning and creative development.'

Separately, Edelman has acquired Russian affiliate IMageland and 50 per cent of IMageland Ukraine.
