DIARY: No agency is an island for PR man

An easy life is exactly what Launch Group account manager Dan Keene was seeking when he moved to a Fijian island for seven months with his brother Ben last year.

Dan is currently featuring on BBC2 programme Paradise or Bust, which details his adventures handing over whales' teeth and envelopes full of cash to local Fijians while attempting to build something of a utopia.

But how, Diary ponders, did he end up working at the Launch?

Experiential director Martin Ballantine refused to confirm or deny rumours that Keene's CV arrived in a bottle, washed up on a Cornwall beach, but did verify 'his third interview pitch saw him don a grass skirt, and slip some potent Fijian local brew ('kava') into my tea'.
