Nokia puts £300k brief up for grabs

Mobile phone behemoth Nokia is pitching a £300,000-plus global account out of incumbent agency The Red Consultancy.

The handset maker has just completed an internal restructure in which it redefined its marcoms teams.

As a result, the Helsinki-based firm is retendering the account and is believed to have made a shortlist of about seven agencies. The Red Consultancy is believed to be repitching but could not comment.

Nokia is getting a PR battering in Germany after it announced it would close its factory there.
