Lidiard joins his newly-created role the bank at the beginning of next month. the appointment follows two months off after Lidiard left his V-P IR and comms role last year after five years at the mining firm (PRWeek, 31 November 2007).

As part of his role, Lidiard will be responsible for integrating the existing comms teams and will report into group finance director Helen Weir.

‘Lloyds has previously run its external comms, media and investor comms separately, but I will try to integrate them together,’ said Lidiard.

Following a review of its public affairs agencies last year, Lloyds TSB appointed Citigate Dewe Rogerson Public Policy to replace Edelman as the bank’s retained agency (PRWeek, 31 October 2007).
