Select committee reveals dates

The Public Administration Select Committee will resume its lobbying inquiry on 24 January.

The committee will then hold a session every Thursday 'for the next three or four weeks', according to a spokeswoman. Members of the committee had not decided who to call to give evidence as PRWeek went to press, but industry figures have been preparing for a grilling.

The Association of Professional Political Consultants recently staged a mock committee session (PRWeek, 14 December 2007) while Bell Pottinger Public Affairs chairman Peter Bingle is believed to have been rehearsing lines with colleagues. The CIPR and PRCA are also likely to be called to give evidence.
