PR and med ed agency HSD has clients in over-the-counter and prescription medicine, medical devices and complementary healthcare sectors including Forest Labs, Galil, Bard, Molnlycke.
It currently has a turnover of £2million and a staff base of 20 people which will be retained. Terms of the acquisition were undisclosed. HSD founder and MD Lesley Scott will continue to head up the agency and will report into Gyro CEO Gary Brine.
The acquisition follows Gyro’s buyout of healthcare marketing agency Woolley Pau in November last year and bio-chemical marketing specialist Cicero in March. Speaking of the acquisition, Scott said: ‘It will mean we can engage with Gyro’s global network and integrated platform to add more value to our clients’ marketing campaigns.’
UK-headquartered Gyro is an independent integrated comms agency which was formed in 1991. It has offices across Europe and America and existing clients include Sony, American Express, Adobe and Virgin Atlantic.
