Precise Media acquires AMI

Media monitoring service Precise Media has acquired forward planning outfit AMI, with the support of a private equity investor.

Phoenix Equity Partners and Precise have bought out AMI with the aim of providing ‘the first comprehensive planning, monitoring and evaluation service' for the PR industry, according to Precise MD Keir Fawcus.

AMI allows marcoms professionals to plan ahead, offering forward features and events listings for the business, financial, political, entertainment and lifestyle sectors. Its editorial team adds and monitors over 1,000 items on its database daily.

Precise's retained clients include ‘the majority of the FTSE 100', PR agencies and investment banks, according to the cuttings service's website. Its media evaluation tools include analysis of share of voice and journalist sentiment.
