Ex-editor Higgins 'steps away' in mega deal

Former Sun editor Stuart Higgins has sold his PR agency to Lord Bell's comms conglomerate in a multimillion pound deal.

Stuart Higgins Communications will become part of Fast Track, a subsidiary of Chime, effective immediately.

The agency will move into Fast Track’s London office in February as a self-contained business.

Higgins and his staff are expected to continue work as usual with their clients, including National Express, Storm Models and British Airways.

Higgins launched the agency in 1999, a year after leaving The Sun, where he was editor from 1994 to 1998.

While the fee from the sale has not been disclosed, the deal is thought to be worth millions of pounds.
