A new social network specifically for women has brought in PR support in advance of its January launch.

Entrepreneur Anita Curry has hired London agency Clementine Communications to run a full consumer and B2B media relations programme for her online start-up, Influence. Agency MD Clemence de Crecy and her team have also been briefed to help Curry build her business contacts.

Influence is both a social networking site and a marketing tool for businesses targeting women. It also promises access to events, concierge services and special deals at high-end The site aims to connect women both in their professional and personal lives. ‘After all, our success in one is heavily dependent on the other,’ Curry said.
