The Stockholm Network Golden Umbrella Think Tank Awards took place on Wednesday with lobbyists and political editors in attendance.
The Taxpayers’ Alliance scooped the ‘innovation award’ in the week that it released figures showing the average local authority spends almost £1m on publicity. The think-tank of the year award went to the Institute for Market Economics in Bulgaria.
The awards are being promoted by InHouse PR – the agency hired by Boris Johnson to push the message that he is ‘deadly serious’ about becoming London Mayor (PRWeek, 20 July).
