Rallying round for a good cause

If not heroic, then at least very charitable, are the laudable efforts of two PR agencies in the run-up to the period of giving and assuming personal debt that is the Christmas holidays.

Currently turning a jolly soiree across the east of Africa into something far more beneficial is Cubitt Consulting managing partner Simon Brocklebank-Fowler. The City PRO implemented a linking of the East Africa Safari Rally with anti-malaria charity Alive and Kicking.

So far, they have raised £40,000 and Brocklebank-Fower is recording events in a journal at http://kenya- rally.livejournal.com.

Exposure staff put hands in pockets

Meanwhile, Exposure has joined forces with Great Ormond Street hospital to create 'ex-owned', a charity boutique selling donated treasures from celebrity friends, Exposure clients, and staff. If the reserve prices on items are not met, staff have to buy them themselves. You can witness their high-risk giving at gosh.org.
