What will the content be like? We have retained the core values and ambience of the Annabel’s Group and added a cutting edge look and editorial mix. The forthcoming issue features content ranging from the world’s only live supercar show in Monaco to a history of Wentworth Golf Club. There’s also a piece by Michael Parkinson contrasting old-fashioned star style with the shoddiness of modern manners, and a touching appreciation of the late former owner of Annabel’s, Mark Birley.
How do you cater to the magazine’s very high net-worth readership? Desire, the shopping section, won’t feature much female footwear under £1,000, while diamonds and rare scotch will be de rigueur. Our readers are tastemakers who can indulge their taste while remaining socially engaged.
What sections will the magazine have? Desire is a long runner that will offer insights into the club’s staff and members. Our fashion spreads will cause envious ripples. Our content is aimed at men and women; tradition and innovation are our key words.
What types of features will there be? As well as the ones already mentioned, we’ll be looking at the best racing studs in the world, a trip to Italy to buy truffles, a piece on the works by David Hockney that adorn the wall of one of the clubs, new names in high-society portraiture, country gentlemen, and a history of caviar. We will also feature current events and news.
How should PROs get in touch? We have to be first to know, to have the exclusives. Enquiries should be sent to editorial co-ordinator Anna Walker.
