Professionals will always move around to some extent, but your story, 'Staff churn at agencies reaches new high' (News, 9 November) reveals that many PR agencies could benefit from better staff-retention policies.

Letting staff know they are valued, especially in an industry where they are often required to work beyond 9-5 and show vast amounts of dedication to employer and client, will boost morale.

If members of your team are already showing tell-tale signs of unhappiness - they might be aloof, less creative and over-sensitive, or arriving at work late and leaving early - it really is time for you to re-evaluate your staff retention policies.
