Agency to promote Christmas shopping in Swindon town centre

Blue Click PR has been hired to boost the profile of Swindon's town centre as the maligned area undergoes a 10-year, £1 billion regeneration.

Private inward investment company InSwindon has appointed the local agency to carry out its PR and media activity as the town tries to improve its image.

Blue Click will promote events designed to attract shoppers to Swindon's town centre, with a special focus on the weeks leading up to Christmas, Easter and Valentine's Day.

InSwindon CEO Mark Ross noted that Blue Click's current client roster includes companies already involved in the town's regeneration, making the agency especially suited to the brief.

The inward investment outfit is funded by a one per cent levy on each of the 460 businesses within a square mile of Swindon's town centre.
