RNLI hire leaves council post vacant

Staffordshire County Council is to lose a communications and marketing officer to the Royal Navy Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), after three years in the role.

Tim Ash vacates his role as Staffordshire's comms officer for its Children and Lifelong Learning Directorate on 2 January.

The council is currently seeking a replacement for Ash, and the deadline for applications is 23 November. The job includes raising the profile of all services for young people including schools and children in care.

Ash will be taking up the role of divisional media relations manager at the RNLI, with the role of promoting fundraising in the south east of England and handling press and public relations for lifeboat activity at stations from Margate to the Isle of Wight.
