The agency has scooped up the B2B and consumer account for The REaD Group, a company that reduces unwanted direct mail.
It won the business following a five-way shoot-out. It will now promote the company’s itsmypost.com website, where users can remove themselves from company mailing lists, and the Bevereament Register, which companies use to remove deceased persons from their databases.
3Monkeys also will work alongside the company’s public affairs agency ASBiss to persuade the marketing industry that direct mail should be more relevant and targeted.
3 Monkeys head of consultancy Ali Gee will head up the account, reporting in to Mark Roy, CEO of The REaD Group.
The agency has also bagged a retainer with global business software company IFS.
It will position the company as a thought-leader in the enterprise resource planning area, as the company looks to take on its competitors Oracle and SAP.
The agency will run a B2B tech campaign targeting national, trade and specialist press, including the construction, automotive, aerospace and defence sectors.
It is understood that 3Monkeys beat off Edelman to win the business. Two-year incumbent Golin Harris did not re-pitch for the account.
