Pat Pearson and Paul Gittins quit Ruder Finn four months ago to launch Red Health (PRWeek, 8 June).
Now they have poached pharma company Schering Health Care’s comms director Sophie Binks.
She joins the agency as an associate director, with a focus on oncology and contraception accounts.
Pearson and Gittins have also raided their former agency, persuading two of Ruder Finn’s rising stars to follow in their footsteps. Senior account managers Lucy Twitchin and Pip Rogan have both been brought on board, keeping the same titles. They will be working in the areas of mental health, pneumococcal vaccination, public sector and beauty.
Earlier this year, Ruder Finn lost London MD John Preston and CEO Neil Porter (PRWeek, 3 August). Staff were told Preston and Porter had been put on ‘special leave’, but the agency’s UK head of healthcare Claire Martin insisted that the senior management losses had ‘had no impact in terms
of healthcare’ (PRWeek, 10 August).
Red Health has also hired Pfizer intern James Humphreys as a senior account executive.
