Movember aims to get men to ‘grow a mo’ during November and raise funds for men’s health charities. It is also an attempt to raise awareness of men’s health issues in general.
The agency has persuaded the breakfast show presenters on Capital FM, XFM and Virgin Radio to take part in the sponsored moustache-growing event, which culminates in a charity event at the end of November. The London Paper will also be covering the event.
Iris PR won the account following a five-way pitch and director Bill Macintyre will lead the account. It is the first time Movember has taken on an agency in the UK. The Prostate Cancer Charity is also promoting the event.
