1st Nation MD Sean Glynn said: ‘The 1st Nation brand will appeal to smokers in the 10 million UK homes who are now buying Fairtrade products.’
Haygarth is charged with handling trade and consumer media relations.
It secured the business following a pitch against an undisclosed agency.
The cigarette brand does not currently carry the official fair trade logo as no Fairtrade organisation has standards written to cover tobacco production.
