Independent PR consultancies Helen Lawn & Associates and Newman Associates PR have been enlisted to raise awareness of the company.
Lawn MD Helen Lawn and Newman Associate MD Andy Newman both previously worked with Nycomed’s UK country manager Julian Trimming when he was a management consultant at specialist healthcare marketing shop MSI Consultancy.
‘Nycomed is not well known and its profile is low. We have been brought on board to raise awareness and the profile of Nycomed,’ said Lawn.
Lawn and Newman will be targeting potential clients and employees. Their main focus will be corporate PR, although their work will include promoting the brand.
Nycomed’s existing products include Protium, TachoSil, Alvesco and Angiox. The pharma company employs 130 people in the UK. It is a global corporation but the UK is one of its smallest markets.
Lawn’s clients include pharma companies Ferring, Genus Pharmaceuticals and the Pharmaceutical Marketing Society.
Nycomed was formed from the merger of Altana Pharma and Nycomed in January this year. The app-ointments have been made as part of a restructure of the companies following the merger.
