Controversial plans unveiled for NHS restructure

Verve Communications is to promote controversial plans to restructure NHS services in South East London.

The agency has been taken on by a consortium of health trusts. It is currently seeking to employ four members of staff to work on the account.

Verve will focus on handling public involvement and consultation.

The Picture of Health project has been set up to deal with the £65 million of debt across South East London NHS.

Proposals include the centralisation of hospital services in Bexley, Lewisham, Bromley, Lambeth, Southwark and Greenwich. The plans could see the region’s four A&E departments reduced to two or three departments.
