Recently-formed CDR Public Policy scooped the business after a long-running competitive pitch process. It will now undertake a comprehensive programme of public affairs activity across London, Brussels and Edinburgh.
Edelman was invited to repitch for the work (PRWeek, 5 October). But insiders said CDR Public Policy was always in a strong position as its MD Simon Nayyar led on the account while he was at Edelman.
Nayyar quit his post as vice-chairman of public affairs at Edelman in May to help set up CDR Public Policy, the latest addition to the Citigate Dewe Rogerson group.
