Wynne has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and PR, with the past ten years devoted to UK financial services.
He was the first employee at investment funds information service Trustnet before it was bought by financial news firm Financial Express. He established the firm’s marketing and PR function and developed it after a rebranding.
Wynne was often used as a spokesman on fund performance and investment issues in trade, consumer and national publications.
‘I spoke to all the top financial PR agencies but I liked the way that Peregrine operates and know Roddi [Vaughan-Thomas] already,’ said Wynne.
Vaughan-Thomas joined the PR agency from asset management firm Keydata Investment Services last year (PRWeek, 5 August 2006). Keydata remains a Peregrine client and will be one of the first accounts that Wynne advises on.
Wynne has also worked for international charities, including St John Ambulance. He was a member of the team that won the PRWeek Best Charity Campaign Award for his work on St John Ambulance’s ‘Breath of Life’ campaign.
Prior to his comms roles, Wynne spent time in the film and television sector as a director and producer.
