Dunlop calls in Bell Pottinger

Dunlop Aircraft Tyres has brought in Bell Pottinger North to maintain its hegemony in the aircraft tyre trade.

The century-old firm expects the market to rise ‘by around five per cent a year’ and wants BP North to develop global relationships with specialist aerospace press.

‘Dunlop Aircraft Tyres is well placed to take advantage of increased aircraft production and rising air traffic,’ said Bell Pottinger North director John Butters, who heads the account.

Butters added the agency would try to establish cut-through for an area often ignored by its target audience.

‘Technological developments in other parts of the aerospace industry are more interesting for the press, but we will raise the importance of tyres and give Dunlop Aircraft Tyres a voice on important issues affecting the marketplace,’ said Butters.
