How young counts as young in PR?

A race of a different kind culminated in the Evening Standard's publication of its '1,000 most influential people in London'. Finding their way to the head of the pack were no less than 26 PR bods, highlighting that PR really does run the capital city.

Notable appearances were from Freud Communications' eponymous founder Matthew Freud, who popped up in three separate sections; and Brunswick senior partner Susan Gilchrist who appeared in two.

Restaurant PR troupe Sauce Communications founder Jo Barnes, and fashion PR guru Karla Otto, even secured whole pages in the Evening Shambles' 'glossy magazine'.

But the strangest PR-related entries, housed in the publication's 'up and coming' section, go to Google European comms chief Rachel Whetstone and Vero Communications founder Mike Lee. The pair are 39 and 50 respectively...
