BBC hires PRO to cash in on shows

BBC Worldwide has app­ointed Philip Fleming as head of comms for its Home Entertainment business.

Fleming will advise on comms surrounding the ‘global exploitation’ of BBC brands such as Doctor Who and In the Night Garden.

He will also oversee comms for the company’s book and DVD joint ventures.

He joins Home Entertainment from BBC Magazines, where he has been head of comms since 2004. Fleming was also European corporate comms officer for American Airlines.
