Colman Getty has scrapped plans for a luxury PR division run from its Scotland office just three months after it was proposed.

The division was to have been set up by former Ketchum account director Emma Miller who moved from London to Edinburgh in July to head up the new office.

Miller has since left and joined Stripe Communications in Edinburgh as associate director.

Rebecca Salt, associate director at Colman Getty’s Scotland office, said: ‘It became apparent that Emma’s interest in luxury brand PR did not accord with Colman Getty’s core business.’

Colman Getty specialises in art and culture PR. Its clients include JK Rowling and Nigella Lawson.

The agency also promotes the Man Booker Prize.

At Stripe, Miller is leading the agency’s consumer lifestyle accounts, which include John Lewis Scotland and Dakota Hotels. She is joined by Weber Shandwick’s Nina Deakin, who has been brought in as account director. Stripe is headed up by MD Juliet Simpson.
