PRWeek unveils City shortlist

PRWeek can finally reveal the shortlist for the City category in the annual PRWeek Awards 2007 on 24 October.

The award will be given to what is judged to be the most effective ongoing campaign or one-off City campaign.

The shortlist is as follows:

 - ITV: Rehabilitation

 - London Stock Exchange: Defence against £ 2.7bn hostile bid by Nasdaq

 - The Carphone Warehouse: FTSE 100 listing

 - AngloAmerican: New CEO

 - Financial Services Authority: Rehabilitation

 - Associated British Foods: Acquisition of Patak’s 

Last year, Maitland’s Pursuit of Arcelor campaign scooped the award. Maitland was hired by Mittal Steel – the world’s biggest steel company – to advise on comms strategy for its unsolicited £15bn bid for Arcelor, the world’s second-largest steel producer.
