Hudson wins web music business

Entertainment specialist Hudson PR has been brought in to launch a website that purports to bridge the gap between Facebook, MySpace and iTunes.

ShowMeHowToPlay.com is a music networking site all­owing artists to promote and sell their records online. Fans can view live sessions recorded in SMHTP’s Brighton studios, or learn how to play their favourite artists’ songs with the site’s tutorial feature.

SMHTP is the brainchild of songwriter and producer Mark Flannery. He has produced tracks for U2, Black Sabbath and Boy George among others.

The site is currently still in Beta phase, but already inc­ludes an interview with hit singer–songwriter Kate Nash and a live session with up and coming band The Crave.

Hudson won this business following a three-way pitch.
