The agency will develop a global comms strategy for the Tokyo 2016 bid committee. The pitch was led by Weber Shandwick’s Tokyo office with input from the UK team.
Tokyo is up against cities such as Prague, Rio de Janeiro and early favourites Chicago to host the 2016 games.
Weber Shandwick has previously worked on the Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008 bids, as well as the Sochi (Russia) 2014 Winter Olympics bid.
