Clark is back in the UK less than one year after relocating to the US. He will not resume his role as joint MD but has instead rejoined the London office as business development director. He will handle flagship clients including AstraZeneca and Roche.
‘I have now rejoined the London office on a permanent basis,’ said Clark. ‘I will be building the agency’s portfolio across existing clients.’
He added that he was only sent to New York last year as a short-term measure.
Jacinta Collins remains the sole managing director of the agency’s healthcare department.
Clark joined C&W as dir ector in 2003 after a stint as an associate director at Weber Shandwick and three years at Munro & Forster Communications. He moved to the US last September to become managing director of Cohn & Wolfe’s New York healthcare arm (PRWeek, 29 June). Clark replaced agency stalwart Jennifer Gottlieb who had joined US-based healthcare specialist agency WeissComm Partners earlier last year.
For the past year, Clark has also taken the role of global healthcare practice leader with a brief to grow C&W’s healthcare offering, reporting to global CEO and president Donna Imperato.
C&W added to its healthcare team in May this year with the appointment of former Red Door director Annabel Fiddian-Green as a director of the agency’s healthcare division. That hire increased the number of healthcare directors at C&W from four to five – Fiona McMillan being one of them.
This year, C&W was ranked 18 in PRWeek’s top 150 league table, behind firms including Edelman, Bell Pottinger Group and Weber Shandwick.
