GBC hangs on to Trend Micro brief

Trend Micro, one of the world’s largest computer security firms, has retained Grant Butler Coomber after a competitive pitch.

GBC will work with sister agency Chocolate Communications to aid a ‘major re-evaluation of Trend Micro’s brand and positioning’.

Chocolate consultant Sarah Vrancken said: ‘The main challenge is to get the web-threat message out to consumers, which means the message needs to be simplified and made relevant to consumers’ everyday lives.’

GBC associate board director Daniel Couzens heads the account, reporting to Trend Micro EMEA PR and comms manager Tony Larks.

The account, thought to be worth more than £100,000, involves supporting Trend Micro’s new branding, to be rolled out in the coming months.
