Green retail site enlists Escapade

Newly established green ­retailer and advice portal has hired Company-care’s consumer division Escapade to offer marcoms and media relations support. gives users practical advice on how to reduce their carbon footprint.

The website also sells energy-saving products, including a solar-powered travel charger for iPods and a water-powered alarm clock.

Escapade head of PR Lynne Goddard said: ‘Eco living is no longer an isolated niche market: the climate-friendly lifestyle has integrated into the mass-market consumer conscience over the past few months, as has interest in energy conservation.’

Escapade will target consumers aged 25 and above who are keen to save money by saving energy but find the scientific arguments ­surrounding climate change confusing.
