The company is one of six divisions in the new Bayer Group, which was formed in July this year, after Bayer’s takeover of fellow German pharma group Schering.
Helen Bray, formerly corporate affairs director at Schering, took the new title of head of marketing and sales support for the pharma division in the UK.
She has now recruited Liz Tucker as PR manager, to concentrate on women’s health and the firm’s specialised therapeutics business. Tucker was previously freelancing and before that was a consultant with Chandler Chicco Agency and a senior associate at Burson-Marsteller.
Sophia Cadman joins as comms manager, having previously held the same title at pharma company Nycomed. At BSP, Cadman will handle internal communications and PR for diagnostic imaging and primary care.
Hannah Saul is taking up the post of government and industry affairs manager with a focus on Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. She works with the existing head of government and industry affairs Joe Brice.
Saul was formerly at cancer charity Cancerbackup, where she was policy and public affairs manager for the past two-and-a-half years.
The recruits join existing PR manager Janine Hogan, whose remit includes haematology, oncology and cardiology. All report to Bray.
