Letter - Government rosters are too much trouble

Robert Gray's article on government rosters (Features, 31 August) was spot on. In 2005 we invested enormous time and effort to get on a government roster and in two years have only had three opportunities to bid for any work.

We were successful in being selected for three 'lots' of a council communications roster. However, after a process that took over 18 months, we had to attend the same presentation for each lot only to be told at the end by the council concerned that they put very little work of a communications nature out to tender.
