Engage Communications manager Linda Apeles said the London-based agency would ‘help create a fresh new suite of communication channels to engage O2’s people in new and compelling ways’.
The agency’s ideas include using web 2.0 technology to reach the company’s 12,000 staff who work in call centres, shops and the company’s Slough headquarters.
The company is keen to demonstrate its commitment to its employees. It ranked fifth in The Sunday Times’ ‘Best Big Companies to Work For’ poll.
Engage is O2’s first full-service internal comms agency. Prior to bringing in Engage, O2 had an agency that only worked on its employee magazine. O2 declined to reveal the name of this agency.
