BioScience Communications has slotted Carole Greenall and Peter Agathangelou into the newly created roles as its client base expands.
Greenall has become the division’s first editorial director, joining from Wells Healthcare Communications, where she had the same title. Greenall will work on editorial output ranging from peer review publications to meetings and congress materials.
Her career includes a stint as technical editor at the BMJ, editorial director at the medical comms agency Excerpta Medica and head of medical writing at the clinical contract research company PPD.
Agathangelou takes the role of client services director. He previously held the same role at Meditech Media, specialising in oncology and auto immune deficiency.
The agency claimed that the appointments reflected a period of sustained growth since David Noble joined as international head in November last year.
‘These are senior appointees who will work on a global basis and reflect the need for experienced medical communications people in a growing business,’ said Noble.
‘Dr Agathangelou brings significant experience,’ he said. Noble added that the hire of Greenall was significant as ‘we have had a number of people working on editorial but not at director level’.
