Gault will be client-facing as well as working on developing the strategy for the agency. Director John Zarafa said Vero wants to looks at how brands can benefit from sporting associations.
One of Gault’s first briefs will be a VisitBritain project in partnership with British football clubs. It will encourage fans to explore the areas they visit to watch teams.
Vero CEO Mike Lee highlighted Gault’s experience ‘across football, F1, the Olympics and Paralympics and the public sector’.
Previously, Gault worked as a freelance consultant with the Departure for Culture, Media and Sport.
