Flood-hit PR pair refuse to bail out

Despite a brief respite this week, flooding is still causing havoc across large swathes of the country. Like Duracell PR bunnies, though, PROs everywhere are gamely getting on with business.

Cheltenham-based Target Public Relations indomitable account executive Pippa Clark has spent the last week setting off to work by rowing out of her front door, which is one foot under water.

In the absence of any discernible road on the A38, she makes her way across town to her car, parked on higher ground, and drives the rest of the way.

Also battling through the floods last week, Spa PR MD Lindsay Jones gamely stood in and took a unpaid day's work at the Gloucestershire Echo. She replaced stranded staff, who had decided to spend the day bailing water from their flooded homes rather than writing news stories. Tsk.

Amazingly, a number of Spa clients somehow managed to gain coverage in the newspaper...
