T3, published by Future UK, is holding the inaugural gadget industry awards this October. They are billed as a ceremony ‘celebrating the good, the bad and the ugly in the field of technology’ and ‘looking to find out about the most anticipated gizmos of 2008’.
Beam MD Jane Leah will be heading up the account, reporting to the magazine’s editor Michael Brook. ‘I’ve worked with T3 since my in-house PR days at Sharp Electronics, when we were sent the dummy copy prior to the first issue going to print,’ said Leah.
Award categories will include Most Anticipated Gadget of 2007, while the Best Gadget of All Time will see current icons such as the iPod up against old favourites like Nintendo’s Gameboy. The jury will comprise industry experts, T3 journalists and magazine readers.
