It is working with the charity on a pro-bono basis for the next 12 months and will launch the campaign at the beginning of August.
As well as raising awareness of its work, the agency will position the charity as a thought-leader in sustainable design and building in the national and trade press, promote fundraising events and encourage professional and student architects to offer their services as volunteers. It will encourage people to sign up as corporate or individual members.
The agency will use a range of tactics including news announcements, case studies and opinion pieces, and will launch a monthly newsletter to members.
The work will be led up by account manager Jenny Tandy and associate director Laura Slade. They will report into CEO Victoria Harris and head of fundraising Nicky Wynne. The agency started work with the charity at the end of May this year.
Architects for Aid was set up after founder and chairman Maxwell Hutchinson was caught up in the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004 in Sri Lanka. The charity works alongside NGOs to plan and set up new environments for communities in need, with its focus being to ‘build back better.’
