Aquarius to aid religious website

Religious specialist Aquarius PR has been brought in to promote a new website that aims to reunite, and offer support to, former Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The site has been set up by Rachel Underhill, a former Jehovah’s Witness who felt compelled to fake an affair to escape the religion.

The site allows users to access a forum to share experiences and to get back in touch with old friends.

Aquarius’s founder Suzanne Evans said the main PR challenge would be reaching the target audience, as the site is the first of its kind to target this group. ‘It is extremely difficult to target this audience because the market doesn’t exist,’ she said.

Aquarius is targeting the religious press alongside local and national media to promote the site’s launch.

Evans, a former BBC religious correspondent, set up Aquarius last year. Clients include the Druid Network.
