Both agencies are housed on Bayham Street, adjacent to Camden High Street, in a building with a metal roof. Very pleasant it is too, scouts report, but it is also a brilliant lightning conductor.
It comes as no surprise then, in these times of global wetting, that the 'bright sparks' (their words) were struck this week. Diary is told that a large bolt flashed through the offices taking out the whole phone system and causing startled staff to miss seven or eight heartbeats.
'Advocate and Aurora are always full of energy but nothing could prepare us for this bolt from the blue,' quipped Advocate MD Jamie Holyer. 'I knew the name of Aurora meant lights in the sky, but Advocate staff weren't quite expecting this when we moved in.'
Apparently the agencies' mobile phone bills are now rising quicker than the North Sea.
