Letters - CIPR offers help over TUPE rules

The CIPR is not entirely surprised to learn about the 'legal warning shot' fired at the PR industry (6 July) over TUPE.

When the TUPE rules were introduced last year, I warned the industry that the rules were unworkable and could cause chaos in the profession.

The CIPR's 'PR Industry Employment Guidelines' - developed jointly with employment law firm Pinsent Masons - have been specifically designed to bring clarity to the situation and help PR practitioners negotiate what has become a legal minefield. It can be downloaded at www.cipr.co.uk/research.
