Reporting in to recently promoted head of European PR Sam Forrest, Dobson will be responsible for rolling out the games developer’s PR strategy across its 19 European markets.
She will focus on family-friendly games such Bratz Babyz, Disney Princesses and Ratatouille (pictured).
At Cake, Dobson held the title of account manager. In particular, she was head of the Nintendo UK team to promote its kids, family and licensed titles across Europe.
THQ recently announced a record year, with over $1bn (£497m) in revenue, up 27 per cent on last year. Last week, the developer struck a sponsorship deal with MTV to promote new video game releases ‘Juiced 2: Hot Import’ and ‘Stuntman: Ignition’ on the network’s shows Pimp My Ride and Base Nights.
